About Henry Wood

Henry Wood moved to Boulder, CO, from Atlanta, GA, in 2005. He studied Philosophy and English literature at Georgia State University before a 10-year tenure teaching outdoor leadership at Outward Bound and the National Outdoor Leadership School. Passionate for an active, outdoor lifestyle, Boulder was a natural fit. In 2008, Henry joined a small team to start Upslope Brewing Company as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Together, they built Upslope into a nationally known brand and a Colorado household staple. In early 2024, Henry stepped away from Upslope to pursue his interest in well-being, human performance, and entrepreneurial pursuits outside of the alcohol industry. 

 

Henry is also a veteran of the United States Army and an avid endurance and mountain athlete. When he has time off, you can find Henry pursuing trail running, skiing, cold plunging, or backpacking with his wife and three children.
